European & frameless cabinetry in Austin
“European” describes a construction method, not a look. Frameless cabinets have no face frame; the doors mount directly to the box sides. That one change affects reveals, storage, hardware, and how precisely everything has to be drawn.

What frameless actually changes
Without a face frame, the box edge is covered by the door and the full interior width is usable — no center stiles, easier drawer and roll-out access. Doors and drawer fronts sit on a consistent, narrow reveal across the whole wall.
Because there is no frame to scribe or hide adjustments, the drawing set has to be exact: box sizes, filler strategy, panel returns, and appliance openings are resolved before fabrication.
Fronts and materials
Frameless pairs naturally with slab fronts in rift white oak or walnut veneer, painted MDF, and engineered panel surfaces such as matte laminates and textured or high-gloss panels. Slim Shaker profiles also work for a softer contemporary room.
Handles, motion and opening systems
We plan integrated finger-pull profiles, edge pulls, or push-to-open where they suit the use — suitability depends on the specified system, front size and weight, and how often the drawer or door is used, so each mechanism is checked against its intended use. Hardware is specified from established European systems (Blum and Hettich are typical examples) per project.
- Lift-up systems for wall cabinets and appliance garages
- Pocket and retracting doors for coffee and pantry stations
- Full-extension undermount drawer runners and soft-close hinges
- Panel-ready fronts for integrated refrigeration and dishwashers
Drawings and coordination
Designers and architects receive shop drawings showing reveals, panel returns, appliance cut-outs, lighting channels, and service access for review before anything is cut.
We can coordinate a suitable countertop scope through qualified partners; stone fabrication is not performed in house. Plumbing, electrical, and appliance connections stay with the trades who hold those scopes. We draw the cabinetry around their requirements so openings, blocking, and access are resolved before fabrication.

Common questions
- Is frameless the same as European cabinets?
- Yes, in cabinetry the terms are used for the same construction: a box without a face frame, with doors hinged from the box sides.
- Do frameless cabinets have to be modern?
- No. Frameless is common under slab fronts, but it also works with slim Shaker and other profiles. The construction method and the door style are separate decisions.
- Can frameless cabinetry include panel-ready appliances?
- Yes. We draw panel-ready openings from the appliance manufacturer's specifications so fronts align with the surrounding reveals.
